Judge orders ceo Roman to
mediation; settle lawsuits
A federal judge ordered 3M CEO Mike Roman to attend mediation talks arranged to possibly settle a group of about 260,000 lawsuits claiming the company’s combat earplugs didn’t protect them from hearing loss. So far, 2023 earnings guidance has excluded probable $10Bn+ legal claims relating to defective earplugs and PFAS contaminations
