Unable to view cart?
We have had a few reports from people who are unable to view the cart when in the checkout who are using Vista with IE8.
Below are a few reason this may be happening and solutions to help fix the problem.
If you are using Vista on IE8 chances are javascript may be disabled, this can be set at many different sources.
First and the easiest would be Internet Explorers security settings.
This can be reached easily by opening the Control Panel, Then opening Internet Options.
Next click the security Tab.
Click the Internet (Globe) Icon in the big box.
Then click the Default Level button.
This "should" set it to the default Medium-High, which will prompt for unsafe objects like Active-X.

The second would be anti-malware; some anti-virus software and 3rd party blockers disable javascript on untrusted websites. If they have an IT guy and they have had issues with security in the past, chances are they may have a 3rd party program running that disables or blocks certain javascripts.
The best place to find these would be the task bar (Icons at the clock). Usually running applications place an Icon there to manage run-time settings, such as Anti-Virus Programs, and other utilities.
Hover over the Icons and right/left click them to see if you can find one that may be disabling javascript
Another place is in the IE addons, Open Internet Explorer click Tools, then Internet Options (can also be used as an alternative to the above)
Click the Programs Tab
Click Manage Addons.
Select All Addons in the drop down on the bottom left
Look through the list for anything that sounds like it may block javascript, aside from Sun Micro Java, which enables Java Applications not javascript.

You can also try to reset IE back to installation defaults:

Thrid: Some corporate firewalls have the ability to block javascript execution, though I doubt this is the case, it is a possibility, but considering it works on other PCs on the same network, I highly doubt this is the case.
As an all around alternative I suggest creating your site using non-obtrusive methods.
Where the default functions with out javascript at all. If javascript is present the default is either enhanced or replaced completely with the new functionality.
