How to grab attention and how to 'greenwash' with kitchen sink marketing

It is rare to see good ads in the OP marketplace. We are particularly critical of trade ads and we feel manufacturers should save their money and invest in user advertising to greater effect and benefit all reseller marketing.
Simplicity and impact are key to grabbing attention and the Sony Ericsson ad in The Times last Saturday was a great example.The warm yellow of the ad attracts the reader and stops from turning the page and causes them to read the message. More examples of good and bad follow
